Property Taxes
With the new property tax amendment passed on January 29, 2008, an average Florida home owner will save $240.00 a year in property taxes. In Broward county an average homeowner will save $308.00 per year starting in 2008 tax bill. It also allows portability when you move from one home to other within the state which allows you to take your save our homes value to the new home for determining the tax for your new home. It also caps tax increase for commercial & non homestead properties to 10% per year starting in 2009.
